Kat is a Psychologist with over ten years experience working with child, adolescent, and adult clients. Kat's specific interest is in child and adolescent mental health and psychological assessment (neuropsychological assessment and prediagnostic assessment). She has a BSc(Hons) from the University of Southern Queensland and has previously worked as a counsellor and psychologist at NGO’s, Community Mental Health, and in local schools. Kat has undertaken training in therapy modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Play Therapy, Family Therapy, and training in the treatment of Eating Disorders, specifically Family Based Therapy (FBT). Kat has also developed and/or facilitated Social Skills groups, Emotional Regulation groups, Domestic Violence programs, Anger Management programs and Mindfulness Training.
Hannah is a currently working as a Therapy Assistant, while completing further study to become a psychologist. Hannah has obtained a Bachelor of Psychological Science from Central Queensland University. She has completed further training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Emotional Regulation & is currently working on developing and facilitating group programs for children and adolescents, for support with social skills and emotional regulation. Hannah has a keen interest in learning and understanding the behaviours of young children, whilst teaching techniques to improve a child’s understanding of their emotions and feelings. Hannah’s goals are to reach a high level of knowledge in relation to childrens' behaviours, in order to provide support to enable children to understand and regulate their emotions.
Rebecca is a provisional psychologist and is a current member of the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW). She has a BSocSc(Psych), BPsychSc(Hon) and MSW (Professional Qualifying). Rebecca has previously worked for NGO’s within the Child Protection and Mental Health fields, providing counselling and case management to children, adolescents and those in their early adulthood, and supporting their families/carers. She has undertaken training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for adolescents, childhood trauma, and navigating the child protection system in QLD. Rebecca is also a facilitator of Love Bites: Respectful Relationships Program (for high school students), 1-2-3 Magic and Emotion Coaching (for parents) and Seasons for Growth (grief and loss education program for school-aged children/young people). Rebecca has experience and a passion for working with and alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and young people, to support their recovery and healing journey.
Carrie has obtained a Bachelor of Psychological Science First Class Honours degree from Central Queensland University. She has completed further study in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Gottman Level 1 Couples Therapy. Carrie has facilitated groups for teenagers based on building self-esteem, resilience and strong coping skills. Carrie creates a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings and believes that everyone has the potential for growth and change, she works collaboratively with clients to help them develop the tools and skills they need to navigate life's challenges. Carrie's goals are to continue with academic study to become a registered psychologist. She has a keen interest in the treatment of eating disorders, exploring EMDR therapy and assessment.
Jess is currently a provisional psychologist, completing her Masters of Clinical Psychology with Central Queensland University (CQU), due to graduate in November 2023. Jess already received her BPsySc and BPsycSc(Hon) with First Class Honours from CQU. Jess has previously worked in areas such as youth and disability support, Child Protection, and has completed placements in other mental health settings including Private Practice and QLD Health. Jess has experience in psychological assessments, including cognitive, academic, and behavioural assessments, and has provided therapy to a variety of different presentations, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, ASD, trauma, in both children and adults. Jess hopes to provides quality assessments and therapy to her clients, working collaboratively to reach your goals! Jess has a passion for working with adolescents and young adults to provide them with the tools they need to tackle the challenges of life!
Deb is our lovely Admin & Client Coordinator (Part-Time).
Deb enjoys practicing Yoga - both on her mat & in life. She finds Yoga to be an essential, holistic tool in maintaining good mental health, nutrition, lifestyle & relationships. She has recently been certified as a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher and enjoys offering Hatha Yoga & Chair Yoga classes to the community.
